Establishing Authority and Taking Action

In today’s online marketing world, it is extremely important to establish yourself as an authority on a topic. This will give your readers more confidence in you and in return, will allow you to more successfully market to them. The only problem with establishing authority of course, is the time it takes to do so. Just because you talk the talk does not mean you can walk the walk. To be an authoritative figure on a topic, you need to know exactly what you are talking about, you need to have been there, and you need to be successful at what you do. If you are looking to do this in the affiliate marketing world, then you need to TAKE ACTION. You can’t just sit around and read about affiliate marketing, you have to actually get your hands dirty and do it yourself. You can spend all your time reading fantastic books about the subject and gain valuable information but if you do nothing to take action, all that knowledge will be for naught. Don’t expect anyone to do something for you, a lot of ebooks that say they can make you thousands by doing nothing are BS. The only way to succeed in affiliate marketing is to take action. Get up, do something new, try it out and if its successful rest assured that you WILL make bank. Also, don’t give up if a campaign fails, 8 out of 10 of my campaigns fail every day. It happens. The two campaigns that don’t fail more than make up for any losses so just stick with it, learn from your mistakes, and do something productive! Knowledge is great, reading is essential, but YOU need to make it all work. If you have an affiliate network account, an adwords account, and a basic concept on how to build a campaign (tracking is ESSENTIAL), then don’t hesitate, get to it and start making some money.

I believe I’ve heard that Telebrands (a national infomercial brand) has about 90% of their infomercials that fail. That other 10% makes more than up for it.
Indeed. Can’t win em all, just make sure you capitalize on the battles that you do win!
